Overview
This policy covers Circuits: VLSI, published by Chilling Moose OÜ, including the desktop, iPhone, iPad, Steam, demo, and App Store editions. It also covers the Circuits: VLSI pages on 101circuits.com.
The application does not send your circuit drawings, measurements, settings, or progress directly to Chilling Moose. It includes no advertising SDK, analytics SDK, or cross-app tracking. You do not need a Chilling Moose account.
On your device
Puzzle progress, saved drawings, language and other settings, Sandbox projects, recovery copies, test sessions, and sweep results are stored in local application data. Waveform CSV files and other exports are written to local files when you choose the corresponding command. Names and notes that you enter are part of those saved files.
The desktop data folder uses the name Fab or FabDemo. On iPhone and iPad, app data is in the application's private storage. Your operating system or backup software may include this data in device, computer, or iCloud backups, depending on your settings. Chilling Moose does not receive those backups automatically.
You can delete local project files and exports on your device. Removing the application may leave desktop data behind. Removing local data does not necessarily remove copies in backups or Steam Cloud.
Steam
The Steam edition uses your Steam account identifier to separate local saves by account. The full Steam edition sends identifiers of earned achievements to Steam. The demo does not submit achievements.
When Steam Cloud is enabled, Steam can synchronize puzzle progress and saved Sandbox projects, recovery copies, sessions, and sweep files through Valve's servers. Application settings are not included in the configured Steam Cloud files. Manage synchronization and account information through Steam. Steam services do not apply to the App Store editions.
Valve processes account, store, achievement, and cloud information under the Steam Privacy Policy.
Apple services
Apple handles App Store downloads, purchases, payments, and updates. We do not receive your payment card details. Apple may provide sales and download reports. If you choose to share app analytics with developers, Apple may also provide crash and usage reports under your device's privacy settings.
This platform reporting is separate from analytics software inside Circuits: VLSI. The application does not track you across other companies' apps or websites. See the Apple Privacy Policy, App Store privacy notice, and App Analytics privacy notice.
TestFlight beta testing
If you install a TestFlight beta, Apple automatically collects beta crash logs and usage information and shares them with the developer. This information can include the app version, device and operating system details, sessions, crashes, and invitation information. Name and email visibility depend on the invitation method.
Feedback you submit through TestFlight is also shared with the developer and may include comments or screenshots you choose to provide. We use beta reports to investigate problems and improve the application. These beta testing practices differ from the release application's local storage. See TestFlight and Privacy for Apple's details.
